Welcome to my personal page. Here you'll find some stuff about my life outside of academia.
I grew up in Utah in a family of K-12 educators. My parents and each of my three sisters have taught in a school at some point. I owe all my academic success to them and the respect for learning they've instilled in me. Every few years, we make a trip to Disneyland as a family. Pictured is my latest trip a couple of years ago.
Growing up, I played a lot of basketball and volleyball, developing a love for these games that still resonates with me today, though I don't get to play as much anymore. During my undergraduate years, I still had the skills to bring home intramural championships, but I was named an intramural basketball all-star in my time at WVU. Additionally, in my time at WVU, I've had the pleasure of beating my former students, which is arguably more valuable than any championship. I also play ping pong at what I consider to be the highest recreational level possible. As of late, I've started playing chess. Recently, I hit 1500 rapid Elo and welcome any challenges!
